I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology.
I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology.
I’ve been working in the fields of counselling and coaching for about 15 years.
I received certification in life coaching from the International Coach Academy in May of 2007.
I’ve worked with different populations:
- adolescents dealing with relationship issues
- university students
- people with disabilities seeking career changes
I’ve facilitated many workshops designed to encourage women to take care of their own needs:
- self-care
- self-esteem
- assertiveness
- grief and loss
- time management
- managing procrastination
- making great first impressions
- life balance

I belong to the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.

I belong to Toastmasters International.
- I believe there should be a lot of fun stuff.
- I got married in 2001.
- I live with my husband, daughter, and a cat.
- I love to sing.
- I love to talk.
- I do both a lot.
- I’m somewhat compulsive about the amount of milk and sugar that goes into my coffee. It has to be just right.
- I love to read.
- I do math on my fingers if there is no calculator handy.
- I love fresh, clean sheets on my bed.
- I laugh very loudly.
- I try hard to be elegant.
- I’m not very elegant.
- My idea of roughing it is a hotel room without a coffee maker.
- I don’t tend to be neat.
- I do usually know where everything is.
- I love to organize things.
- I could drink coffee all day.
- I could read all day.
- I need to spend more time doing those two things.
- I will dance in public.
- Depending on her mood, my three-year-old daughter says I’m “nice” or “yucky”.
- Depending on my mood, my forty-five year-old husband says I’m “nice” or “yucky”.
- It took eight weeks to renovate our kitchen and I had only four nervous breakdowns.
- I’m tougher than I think I am.
- I don’t believe sweatpants should ever be worn outside the house.
- I’m learning how to paint with watercolours.
- It turns out that my talents lie elsewhere.
- I’m okay with that.
- Before the invention of hair gels in the early 1980’s, my curly hair looked like a Q-Tip.
- I mourn those lost good hair days.
- I like to do laundry.
- Without fail, some article of clothing misses the boat on laundry day so everything is clean except this one piece.
- This drives me crazy.
- I’m addicted to e-mail.
- I hit the send/receive button 38 times a day.
- I know this is a terrible time management practice.
- I don’t care.
- I love office supplies.
- I have many more pens than I will ever need in a lifetime.
- I have earned my “100 Workouts” t-shirt at my gym.
- I am Hopelessly Devoted to the movie Grease.
- I know all the words.
- The book Marley and Me made me cry harder than any other book I’ve ever read.
- A great date with my husband is going to Costco where he buys me a hot dog and a drink for $2.
- I love to watch my daughter on the swings. The look of pure joy on her face is priceless.
- I wish I could capture that look with the camera.
- I just turned 39 and I’m practicing saying “I’m 40 years old” a year in advance.
- I’m looking forward to being 40. A whole new decade to explore.
